Fourth Grade
Fourth grade has been known as a transitional year for many reasons. It is the first year students receive percentile grades, have more than one teacher, and are eligible to participate in band.
Students are in school from 8:25 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. daily. The basis of the curriculum consists of: religion, reading/language arts, math, science, social studies, music, physical education, and art.

Hello~
We have been a very busy class! The children started preparing early for the "Stations of the Cross." The program titled "Living Our Faith" on WISN, wanted to showcase children learning about Jesus in a non-traditional, hands-on way. The kids rose to the challenge and worked hard to reenact three "Stations." I was so proud of them! The program will feature the kids in March...details about the exact date to come!
We are studying Geometry and are having a ball (or sphere); a feeble attempt at humor here... We utilize our Smartboard daily as it really helps the children get up and manipulate shapes and angles. Who knew Math could be so fun!
A few upcoming field trips: We will be visiting the Edwards YMCA camp to learn about the making of maple syrup and the Living History of Wisconsin. The children will get to try the homemade syrup on some pancakes after they attempt to saw a huge log with an authentic, dual-style lumberjack saw! It will be a great day of learning!
We are also visiting the State Capitol building on April 19th. We will tour the building and then walk across the square to the Wisonsin Historical Museum. I always look forward to this trip!!
That's all for now! Thank you for all your support in learning!
