Things have been busy in the library since Christmas break.  First we were getting ready for the Book Fair which was a great success again this year.  This year our sales were $3,697.87, about $300 up from last year.  The library gets 25% of this total plus some extra perks.  As a result we got many new books for the library with money left over for library supplies, new Accelerated Reading tests or other books not available through Scholastic.

Our holiday book bin went from Valentine's Day books to St. Patrick's Day books and will soon hold our Easter books.  The easy reader rack displayed Arthur books all last month and was recently replaced by Curious George.  Also on display are our new library books, soon to make their way to their proper place on the shelves.

Second graders have been listening to The Boxcar Children on tape.  Third grade is still doing Little House On the Prairie which will be finished in about a month.  Fourth grade enjoys Maniac Magee and Charlotte's Web and fifth grade listens to Where the Red Fern Grows and Indian in the Cupboard.

Everyone enjoys the new library which is a bigger, brighter room.  It is also very convenient to have the computers where the students can take the Accelerated Reading tests, which are also now hooked into every classroom.
