Hello there! It is hard to believe that we are embarking on a new school year and all of the endless possibilities we are set to achieve. For starters, your fifth graders are the first class in our new classroom and it turned out awesome. We have some bright colors, cubbies to hang our coats, and lots of other new things. I am so excited and have to admit that it is nice to be right by the door. I heard lots of positive feedback at the meet and greet and all of the kids were super excited. It was nice to see all of you after a relaxing and enjoyable summer. Our magic number of students is fourteen this year and we have lots of fun experiments and hands-on learning to fill our days with.
Just think of all the wonderful things we are going to learn this year. We talk about and study the seven sacraments, fifty states and capitals, the solar system, rocks and minerals, long divisions, and so much more. We have brand new grammar and religion books which is equally as exciting. The fifth graders will get the opportunity to visit the Halquist Stone Company, the Mitchell Park Domes, Watson’s Wild West Museum, and a few other fun places as well. In addition, I think we are all excited to meet our new music teacher and embark on endless amounts of fun with our new World Languages.
I am a firm believer in open communication and my room is always open for you to stop in to. Please never hesitate to contact me via email, phone, or whatever else may be easiest for you. We are going to have a great year! Talk to all of you soon!
