Greetings! What a beautifully warm and sunny day it is out today! Such a relief from the crazy winter we have been having!
I have a few announcements in regards to music class:
1. The upper grades have just completed their musical study of Ireland. It has been a great adventure and we have learned much!
2. The younger grades have been working hard on many fun songs, games and rhythm studies.
3. We are beginning a small unit study on the recorder for all 3-5th graders. This is review for the 4th and 5th grades, but an entirely new musical concept for the 3rd grade class. If you have recorders at your home from current 4th and 5th graders, or from older students, please make sure they are brought to class on Thursday (February 11th) and all music days after that for the next couple weeks. If you would like to purchase your own recorders, they can be found at Hartland Music and The White House of Music for a very minimal cost (usually $5).
4. Our Spring Concert this year will be "Broadway Musicals." We are beginning a few songs this week and are very excited about this year's theme!
