Happy Fall everyone!
How quickly the weather is turning so cold!
I just wanted to provide a quick update on the classroom music for this fall!
K5 through second grade has been studying study beat, high/low sounds and working with instruments.
3-5th grades are continuing their study of music from around the world! We have gone to Russia and are now studying the the music, dance, culture and instruments of China!
6-8th grade has learned about musical improvisation in instrument and voice, blues music and scales and rock and roll rhythms.
The Christmas Concert for this year set for December 10th at 6:30pm! Auditions for 5th-8th grade speaking parts will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at 9:30am. There will also be a singing solo for both a male and female character in the program. Auditions will be held for these on the same day. Auditions packets will be given to all interested students in the next few weeks.
