Dear Parents,Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged about my class. To wrap up Fire Prevention and Safety month, the class and I walked around the entire school looking for fire safety objects. Here is what we discovered: 6 smoke detectors, 5 fire alarm pulls, 11 exit signs, 8 fire extinguishers, and 19 fire alarms. The children were really excited about pointing out the objects when they say them in the hallways. It is hard to believe that our first quarter is already done. Everyone has really picked up well on the routine of our busy days and the weeks just seem to fly by. Our show and tell days have been packed with very creative items to fit the letter of that week. Thank you again for helping your child find just the right things. We just finished making our "Gorgeous Gourds" for the Letter Gg week and they are so cute!!! Most of the teachers in the school have noticed them as well as many other older students and they all agree that they look fantastic. We will be sending them home soon because they will not last forever. We made them with all natural materials so they can just compost back into the ground or in your garden perhaps to have some for next year.
