The second graders did a great job receiving their First Eucharist books at the Dedication Ceremony during the Sunday Liturgies. I hope that they will hear from their prayer partners soon. Please have your child bring the book to school for our lessons.
This month brings some exciting topics for our class. We will be writing "Arthur" stories and making puppets in art class to dramatize our stories.
In social studies we will be working on USA state reports. This is the first year that the students will be using computers to complete most of the report.
In math we will be adding (and soon subtracting) 2 and 3 digit numbers with and without regrouping. But some children still have not mastered the basic math facts for our timed tests. They may need to do more practice at home.
I hope that your child is enjoying the "Magic Treehouse" book this month. Remember that book reports are due January 28th.
