Hello from the fourth grade~

We can't seem to believe that the first Quarter is ending this week!  I guess the saying is true, "Time Flies When You're Having Fun!" We are whizzing along in Math; supplementing our lessons with interactive SmartBoard games and activities! Just the other day, we explored Pictographs.  The children surveyed their classmates, and then made graphs to represent the data.  I was so excited about the quality of work that I laminated them and have them hanging above their hooks in the hallway!  Come check them out!

Please have your student continue to practice and refresh their memory of their multiplication and division facts.  It will prove to be beneficial, especially when long division is introduced.

We will be having a Science test this Thursday.  Look for a study guide to come home today.  Comprehensive, group review sessions will take place in the classroom to help with studying.

In Art, Mrs. Binger has the students gridding a picture of a chosen Saint.  It is an abstract concept, but the end results will be fantastic!

In Social Studies, we are diving into Wisconsin history.  Alongside that, we are studying the times surrounding WWII.  We are almost to the end of this chapter, so again, look for a study guide.  More information about the actual test date will be given soon.

I am so very pleased with all the activity that is happening this year!  We get so much accomplished each day because the students respect the learning process and each other.  The fourth grade truly follows Jesus!

Thank you for your support in learning~

Ms. Del Mauro
